Coronavirus vaccine to be tested in UK from Thursday, government announces

A potential vaccine for coronavirus has been developed by Oxford University. Human trials of the vaccine will begin this Thursday reveals Matt Hancock, health secretary.

According to an Oxford team member, if human trials were to be successful, by autumn millions of vaccine doses would be made available.

The government, according to Matt Hancock, is providing all the aid it possibly can to the Oxford University team. An amount of £20 million has been provided to the Oxford University team to proceed with the clinical trials. An additional amount of £22.5 million has been provided to the Imperial College London researchers.
