In this time of COVID-19 pandemic, demands for protective gear increases higher by the minute. A piece of Unfortunate news comes from the Tennessee interstate highway as a tractor-trailer gets into an accident and burns up all the face masks and hospital gowns that it was carrying.

The driver of the tractor-trailer and his dog, who was accompanying him were not injured but unfortunately, none of the protective gear could be salvaged from the fire. The number of protective gears lost in the fire is still unclear.

Concerns grow as any loss of Protective gear at a time when resources are scarce is news for worry.

The fire is said to have started after the rear wheel of the vehicle sparked. WRKN reports that the N95 masks and hospital gowns are to be taken to a landfill and dumped.

The incident occurred in Smith County near the Gordonsville exit.
