AC Milan

AC Milan stuck to their brilliant form in the Serie A season as they beat Atalanta on Sunday. They survived a late comeback from Atalanta and earned 3 pts after securing a 3-2 win.

AC Milan Piled On The Goals As Atalanta Missed Their Chances

AC Milan took an early lead when Davide Calabria poked the ball into the net after 28 seconds.

Atalanta kept on pressurizing for an equalizer but could not capitalize on the chances that were created. Their wasteful game proved to be a costly one as Sandro Tonali ran past defenders to score the second goal for Milan. He scored it just 3 minutes before the break, which added on more pressure.

Rafael Leao scored the third for AC Milan with only 12 mins left on the clock. This was when Atalanta shifted their gears.

Duvan Zapata got them back into the game after scoring from the penalty spot. Mario Pasalic scored another to make it 3-2 and it became quite nervy for the team from Milan.

Atalanta got back into the game too late as AC Milan took this victory home.

This was the 6th win from 7 games for Milan as it helped them close the gap with Napoli, who are leading the table now.

Atalanta is currently at the 8th position after getting handed their first loss in 6 matches.

Tonali stated that he and his team were quite worried after the score was 3-2, but they knew that it was all over.

AC Milan is hailed to be away-games specialists as they won 16/19 games while playing against home teams.

Calabria’s goal was the 3rd fastest goal scored by Milan in the Italian League since the 04/05 season when these stats were gathered.
