President Trump has come under fire after his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

John Haltiwanger, Business Insider political editor reported in his interview with MSNBC of what a huge disappointment the president has been to former US diplomats. Criticism arose as Trump claimed that his administration was handling the coronavirus health crisis much better than any other country.

MSNBC host, Kendis Gibson questioned the president’s remarks as the US has been one of the hardest-hit countries by the pandemic.

Haltiwanger also claimed that the current US president has made a mockery of the country in front of the rest of the world. He accused Trump of opening a void in global leadership because of his inappropriate behavior. He further claimed that the void would be filled by China.

“What she was referring to was the lack of a robust testing system and the fact that governors had to turn to each other for help and in some cases even China in order to receive much needed medical equipment because Trump has denied them that help.” Haltiwanger further claimed.
