Bryan Harsin To Be The Next Head Coach Of Auburn

Auburn school announced on Tuesday night that Bryan Harsin of Boise State will be their next football head coach. He will be replacing Gus Malzahn, the former coach who got fired after spending 8 seasons with Auburn Tigers. Harsin,44, won three titles of Mountain West in his seven seasons with Boise State. His stats were 69-19.

Harsin was Auburn’s top target, more than 5 schools approached him over many years. Bryan Harsin stated that getting out of his alma mater and coaching Auburn is a huge opportunity for him, it will also give him a chance of competing for the biggest program of college football at the topmost level. He has tremendous respect for all the Southeastern Conference’s players and coaches. He is ready for helping build a strong foundation at the Tigers where he can compete for all the championships consistently. He wants Auburn’s program to make the team proud both off and on the field along with consistent excellence.

Billy Napier, head coach, Louisiana, and Brent Venables, defensive coordinator previously refused to take the job. The Tigers chose their next head coach from over 2,100 miles away. Allen Greene, athletic director, Auburn termed Bryan Harsin as the proven winner who got tons of records. During the Southeastern conference, Harsin impressed Greene with his strategic plan for leading Auburn and making them compete for titles consistently. Malzahn was also replaced by Harsin in 2013 in the Arkansas State team where he won a title in his only season with the team.
