Los Angeles Rattled By 3.7 Magnitude Earthquake During Coronavirus Lockdown

Los Angeles was shaken by an earthquake just after 12 PM neighborhood time on Wednesday morning, as millions are staying in their homes during the coronavirus pandemic.

An early gauge from the U.S. Land Survey pegged the shake at a size of 3.7 and it hit the View Park-Windsor Hills region of the Californian city, which is around nine miles south of Hollywood. The tremor had a profundity of 7.4 miles.

It was large enough to freeze some in Los Angeles, with Chrissy Teigen among the first to tweet about the ground moving.

The tremor quickly turned into the top inclining theme on Twitter in the U.S., with individuals contrasting it with a “roller coaster.” The Santa Monica Police Department called it “sizeable,” while LA Mayor Eric Garcetti said the city’s local group of fire-fighters will complete a “routine survey” of the city for harms.
