Disney debuts cloth character face masks and the proceeds go to charity

Disney recently released a line of face masks featuring famous Disney characters. The company said that all the profits would be used to aid the supply of medicines and protective equipment across the world.

On Thursday, Disney launched its new program, where it plans to donate around $1 million from the sale of cloth face masks to Medshare, a non-profit organization based in Atlanta that is involved in supplying medical equipment and protective gear around the globe.

In the times of Corona, you can have your own favorite Disney character, be it a Marvel superhero or a Star War hero, on your new Disney face mask.

Disney Face Masks To Have A “Tremendous Impact”

The lack of protective gear and face masks has been a major problem even for first-world nations. It will also help many nonprofit organizations like Medshare, that are on a relentless path to help contain the outbreak.

Medshare CEO and President, Charles Redding, said in a statement, “Disney’s donations will make a tremendous impact in the communities we serve. Their contribution of one million Disney face masks will be provided to families in underserved communities and organizations working to limit the spread of Covid-19, while their monetary donation will be used to support the medical community’s ongoing efforts to provide lifesaving care to those who need it most.”
