Dr. Anthony Fauci says he and his family have been receiving ‘serious threats’

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director claims to have received threats against himself and his family members. 

He is at present the White House coronavirus advisor. He was the one to advise Donald Trump, the President of the United States about the school closures and the businesses all over the nation due to this coronavirus breakout. He was the one to offer his expert opinions on the state lockdown due to this pandemic. 

According to him, the pandemic lockdown is with regard to public health and that should not be politicized. Earlier also when he was working to find a treatment for HIV/AIDS, he was targeted. He said that it was really disturbing for him. He believes that the shutting down of the country for quite a long period of time had its adverse economic effects, however, he wanted his country to have a healthy start. 

“There are people who get really angry at thinking I’m interfering with their life because I’m pushing a public health agenda,” he said during an interview with David Axelrod, the CNN commentator.
