Drew McIntyre reacts to Wade Barrett’s dream to face him for WWE Title at Wembley Stadium

Earlier this month, Wade Barrett stated in an interview that he would be tempted to come back for one more match to challenge WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

The WWE NXT announcer spoke with BT Sports where he had some fun with the top WWE star by recalling how they used to live together and that he thinks he could beat McIntyre any time he wants.

Barrett started out by stating that it’s a very easy story to tell due to their history. He then stated that he’s probably beaten McIntyre up both on camera and at home. He claimed to basically bully McIntyre every night by kicking him, pouring cans of beans on him, and other things.

“He’d be in the corner crying, sobbing away, begging for mercy. He knows that as a man, I can destroy him at any time that I wanted.”

Barrett stated that there are probably several people in wrestling who are terrified of McIntyre and touted how he’s a tough man.

“But the truth is, he knows I can batter him, and humiliate him. Whenever I feel like I’m ready, it isn’t a question of Drew McIntyre calling me out. Whenever I’m ready I can just step in the ring and take whatever I want from him. He knows that, he’s aware of it, but one day perhaps the world might see it.

That would be the dream, wouldn’t it? Becoming the world champion in Wembley Stadium, humiliating Drew McIntyre, getting Manic Street Preachers to play live in and out, that would be the absolute dream.”

McIntyre saw the clip and responded on Twitter:
