Adoree’ Jackson is the latest acquisition by the Giants, who are currently on a spending spree. Last weekend, Kenny Golladay, who stood out for the Lions, was signed by the New York Giants in a deal worth $72 million, for 4 years.

New York has made certain that big-name signings are not the only ones on their list. Adoree’ Jackson’s deal is worth $39M, lasting for 3 years. The contract has a signing bonus of $13.5M and a guaranteed payment of $26.5M. Incentives add up to a total of $44.5M.

Adoree’ Jackson’s Place In The Team

Tennessee unexpectedly cut Jackson at the beginning of free agency. The player is only 25 now. The release, however, saved a total amount of $10.2M for this year, for the Lions. Jackson was prepared to play for 2021 by opting for the fifth-year clause.

For the Giants, Adoree’ Jackson will possibly be starting with James Bradberry on the opposite flank, another big signing of the Giants in the past year. The cornerback Jackson is also known to have played as a punt and kick returner. Joe Judge, the man in charge of New York currently, will possibly have an interest in that.

His career so far as a cornerback has been average. In both of his first two years in the NFL, he had played all the sixteen games. He currently has a record of 143 tackles and 2 interceptions. He has also managed to force 3 fumbles and deflect 27 passes. However, his career has taken a hit since 2018, having missed 18 games, and starting only two in the 2020 season.

Last season, New York’s defense had ended the season as the ninth-highest scorers. In addition to the acquisitions, the team has their hopes high for Xavier McKinney, a safety in his second-year. The Giants are now left with their 11th pick, overall. Micah Parsons, DeVonta Smith, and Gregory Rousseau are on the table according to analysts.
