USMNT Takes On England In A Decisive World Cup Meeting For Them

USA
USA vs Mexico

The US Men’s National Team finds themselves in a very frustrating position specially after the draw in their opening match against Wales. Their campaign now depends on their next two fixtures against England and Iran as those two matches are going to decide if they are going to progress to the next round or not.

USA national men’s soccer team started of their campaign in style till they were winning against the Wales team with the goal from Timothy Weah, the son of the legendary George Weah. However, their celebration did not last until the final whistle as Wales caught up with a equalizer with their star MLS forward Gareth Bale scoring a penalty in the game.

As the things stand currently, England who beat Iran in their first match in this edition of the World Cup will be facing the USMNT in their next match in which the USMNT needs to register their first win if they are dreaming for the knockout stages.

USMNT Will Take On England As They Find Themselves In A Tough Position In Their Group:

A comfortable win or even a draw might please USMNT’s record making English coach Gregg Berhalter (who has taken now taken one national women’s and a national men’s side to the world cup) as he can start dreaming again of the knockout stages with recording a win against Iran. However, even if we consider the USMNT will win against Iran, things will depend on Wales’ match results too if USA fails to win against England in this game.

So, as things stands, this is going to be a tough encounter for USMNT’s golden generation and also for their coach, and it could be a game for a side that struggled throughout the qualifiers.
