$350 Stimulus Checks Could Be Coming Your Way

Stimulus Check Child Tax Credit

Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) wants to restore $1,250 monthly stimulus payments to families with children.

Romney proposed a Family Security Act, which, like the Child Tax Credit Stimulus Check, would give $350 per month to families with kids under the age of five. $250 each month to households with children aged six to seventeen.

Up to four months before the child’s due date, expecting parents would be eligible for the stimulus check. President Joe Biden signed the Child Tax Credit Stimulus Check into law as part of the $1.9 trillion ARP, which aims to assist the US to recover from the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.

The Stimulus Check Will Assist Households With Children

Between July 2021 and December 2021, over 36 million eligible American families got financial assistance through the Child Tax Credit Stimulus Check, which was paid out in monthly installments. Families might get up to $300 for each kid under the age of six and up to $250 for a child between six to seventeen.

There have been various petitions calling for more stimulus checks like the ones sent out in 2020, but Congress has stated that it has no plans to do so, and President Joe Biden’s proposal to extend the Child Tax Credit until 2022 failed to pass the Senate.

According to a poll done by the United States Census Bureau, families throughout the country have had difficulty paying for regular household costs after the Child Tax Credit payments terminated in December. Romney claimed that his plan will reduce child poverty by up to one-third throughout the country, assist families from conception to childhood, treat working and stay-at-home parents equally, and modernize and combine antiquated government programs to fully fund the Family Security Act.
