Harvard says it won’t accept coronavirus aid after Trump criticism

Trump has recently criticized Harvard for taking a part of the Coronavirus Aid despite sitting on a 40 billion dollar endowment. Trump requested Harvard to pay back the money which could be better-utilized by small businesses. The university has mentioned: “We have previously said that Harvard, like other institutions, will face significant financial challenges due to the pandemic and economic crisis it has caused.” 

However, after the political attacks, Harvard has finally decided that it won’t seek or accept any funds from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund. The fund was supposed to make up for the lack of lost revenue due to this pandemic. Partly, the funds would have gone as grants to students.
