Indiana Beach buyer announced, park plans to reopen for 2020 season

A new owner and life for Indiana Beach!

Indiana Park is a 94-year-old entertainment park in the view of Lake Shafer in Monticello. Now, it has been bought by the Indiana Beach Holdings, LLC, Gene Staples, as indicated by Monticello News & Review Facebook post.

Staples bought the park before Apex Parks Group, the previous proprietor of Indiana Beach, declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy April 8, White County Commissioner John Heimlich stated.

Social Media pages of Indiana Beach have been offering gifts and glimpsing a declaration about the park for a few days.

Apex, a company in California, shut Indiana Beach in February, due to financial reasons. Two other Apex parks – Fantasy Island in New York and Speedzone in Texas— were also shut.

The step surprised the national government and people, which built on Indiana Beach, hanging on the beaches of Lake Shaffer, for local employment and income for tens of years.

March 31, White County delegates and White County Council confirmed to give $3 million in financial reward to the buyer.

White County’s Wind Farm Economic Development will fund $3M, which was donated to the nation to be applied for economic improvement projects.
