Michigan Rallies Around Zak Zinter’s Injury

Michigan’s Zak Zinter suffered a broken fibula and tibia even as the Wolverines won 30-24 against Ohio State this Saturday. His family announced that the Michigan standout offensive guard was scheduled to go under the scalpel late on Saturday.

Zinter suffered a horrific double injury. His mother Tiffany thanked the Wolverine fans and friends and family who have all reached out to support him during their difficult times. She wrote on Instagram that she would reach out to them when she got a moment off. She stressed that the family was beyond feeling their love.

Zak Zinter’s mother also stressed the brighter side of recent development. She pointed out that Michigan was 3 up against Ohio State. She stressed the brotherhood in Zak Zinter’s team. She referred to the Wolverines as true brothers and wished their love for the team and family.

Zak Zinter Undergoes Successful Surgery

Zinter posted confirmation on social media later at night that the surgery had been successful. He thanked Michigan State for standing beside him and ending up strong in their triumph over the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Zinter’s injury occurred later in the 3rd quarter of the game against the Buckeyes on Saturday. His leg twisted even as McCarthy completed the pass downfield. Zinter immediately collapsed in pain. The horrific injury was severe enough for the broadcasters to pan their cameras away from it.

Zak Zinter lay on the turf for a few moments even as fans shouted words of encouragement for their superstar offensive lineman. Finally, it was a big loss for the team as Zak Zinter is the most experienced offensive lineman that the Wolverines have.

Michigan players rallied around his parents as they entered the field. Eventually, Zinter was wheeled off to the hospital. Luckily his surgery ‘went great,’ he posted on X. It is a frustrating and heartbreaking way for Zak Zinter to end this season.
