Stefanie Lambert Surrenders in Election Tampering Case

Stefanie Lambert

Stefanie Lambert, a pro-Trump lawyer, surrendered to Michigan authorities following a tumultuous week, during which she was labeled a fugitive and spent a night in jail after her arrest in Washington, DC. The surrender, confirmed by special prosecutor DJ Hilson, took place Thursday morning, with Lambert appearing in Oakland County Circuit Court.

DNA Collection, Not Jail Time For Stefanie Lambert

Hilson stated that the Michigan bench warrant against Lambert was set aside by the judge, and she was taken into custody solely for the purpose of collecting her DNA and fingerprints. Lambert’s attorney, Daniel Hartman, affirmed her surrender and clarified that her fingerprints would not be entered into the system without further court order, as Lambert has been contesting prosecutors’ attempts to obtain them.

The events unfolded after Lambert’s arrest at the federal courthouse in DC, where she was taken into custody by US marshals immediately after participating in a hearing in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation case against her client, former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne. This hearing, pertaining to Lambert’s recent leak of internal Dominion emails obtained through her representation of Byrne, led to her arrest in DC and subsequent surrender in Michigan due to a warrant issued for her failure to appear at recent hearings in her criminal case.

Stefanie Lambert was indicted last year for her alleged involvement in an attempted election system breach in Michigan, part of broader efforts by Trump supporters to substantiate voter fraud claims following the 2020 election.
