Las Vegas mayor won’t give businesses social distancing guidelines for reopening: ‘They better figure it out. That’s their job’

Carolyn Goodman, the Mayor of Las Vegas, believes that while businesses are slowly reopening, the businesses can adopt their individual social distancing measures. As per Carolyn, “I am not a private owner.” Hence, she would not like to interfere in the business proceedings. 

According to her, while restaurants and other public places can open up if they want, they should settle on their personal social distancing guidelines. Business owners should understand that we are in a crisis and should act accordingly. Public health officials, however, claim that lack of proper and strictly-implemented social distancing measures can result in the aggravation of the problem.
