After a formation flyover in New York, the US Navy’s Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds are heading towards DC to salute the health care workers. “America’s ambassadors in blue” will conduct this flyover to pay respect to the doctors, nurses, and essential workers, who have been working every day to help the country fight against coronavirus.

The commanding officer of the US Navy Blue Angels says, “This is an extraordinary and unprecedented time but we will get through this. We are all in this together.”

DC Is To See The Flyover Formation By The Us Navy And Air Force To Pay Homage To The Health Care Workers

The US forces are moving towards Baltimore and DC to conduct their flyover. Baltimore will see the formation first at 11:30 a.m, after which the squadrons will head to DC. Each flyover will last for 15 to 20 minutes. Flyovers are planned over downtown D.C. and Baltimore on Saturday. Three coordinated flyovers are to be made by twelve U.S. Air Force F-16C/D Fighting Falcon and F/A-18C/D Hornet aircraft.

The US Navy News Release urges the citizens to abide by the stay-at-home orders and not gather on the streets. The flyover is supposed to be visible from the safety of their houses. They have mentioned “stay home, stay safe” in their flight plans to remind the residents to maintain the rules of quarantine. The flyover in DC is supposed to start at 11:45 a.m, though the timings might change.

Previously, there have been flight demonstrations in Philadelphia, parts of Northern New Jersey, and Manhattan on Tuesday. The flight was to salute the first responders in their fight against the COVID-19

Residents living along the flight path might expect jet noise as the aircraft make their way for their planned demonstration.
