Jude Bellingham, the new wunderkind of Real Madrid, recently proved his transfer fee correct, after he struck a late match-winner in added time to snatch a 2-1 victory over Getafe as the Galacticos secured a win in their home debut for the new season at the refurbished Santiago Bernabeu.

The midfielder from England, who has turned out to be quite a talisman for his country and club, scored his fifth goal in just about four games after he joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund for a price of 103 million Euros, along with 30 million in add-ons. As it stands currently, Real Madrid is at the top of the table with a maximum of 12 points from four games, and they are five ahead of Girona, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona, who haven’t yet played this weekend, and Cadiz, who managed to beat Villareal with a scoreline of 3-1.

Real Madrid Back To Their Best

Although it was Borja Mayoral who scored the opener for Getafe in the 11th minute, after a mistake that was created by Fran Garcia, it was Jude Bellingham who stole the show. The RM Boss, Carlo Ancelotti, stated that the match was quite difficult- which was made even more difficult because they had already conceded a goal early.

But this didn’t necessarily change his thoughts about the young defender, who would definitely be improving in the future. The second half was a whole other story, as the team from Madrid played quite clinical– they utilized their chances and in the end deserved to win- courtesy of a Bellingham strike.

While Real Madrid might have secured the win, David Soria- the goalkeeper from Getafe has already come under the radar for preserving the scoreline to 1-0 till the end of halftime with a series of stunning saves. First, he literally flew across the box to clear the ball with his shoulder and then made a one-handed save to prevent Modric’s header from going in. And yet, it wasn’t enough to stop the English kid genius from slotting in his 5th goal for the season.
