Paris Hilton’s new documentary delves into her past as a victim of abuse as a teenager. In an interview with People, she said that she had hidden behind the truth for too long but was strong enough to show the world that she did not have it easy in her life.

Paris Hilton recalled her time with her parents at the Waldorf Astoria where she was a rebel of sorts and no amount of punishment could persuade her to stop going out.

Her stint at the Provo Canyon School, a Utah boarding school was the worst years of her life. She said that it was ‘torture’ every single living hour. Four of her classmates and an ex-staffer have supported her in the documentary, ‘This Is Paris’. They have spoken about beatings, forced medication, bullying, and solitary confinement at the school.

The current administrators have refused to comment on the deeds of its former owners, who sold the school in 2020.

She says that she was subjected to constant bullying and abuse by the staff. She says that they wanted to break her by physically abusing, beating, and strangling her. They wanted to instill fear into the kids, she says.

She says that her trauma stayed with her in her later years. She is now working to reform institutions that are abusive to minors.

Paris Hilton Says She Is Now On The Road To Healing

Paris Hilton says that she is now on the way to healing ever since she disclosed her past trauma. She said that after doing the documentary and her work with children, she doesn’t have bouts of insomnia and nightmares.

Paris Hilton also swelled on her changed perception about wealth. She now says that her family means more to her now than her wealth. Hilton is engaged to Carter Reum, a venture capitalist and entrepreneur. Her pre-wedding sequences will also be featured in a Peacock documentary series to be titled, Paris in Love.
