Actress Letitia Wright in an exclusive interview with People has stated that she wishes to reprise her Black Panther character Shuri. Letitia Wright has stated that she is quite hopeful to return as Shuri, if there is another film made. Weight had starred in the 2022 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise. The film was well-received by fans of the Marvel franchise globally. The Black Panther was directed by American filmmaker Ryan Coogler.
Letitia Wright told People that her character Shuri will go on a healing journey, the way the film Wakanda Forever had ended. As an aunt, Shuri now has responsibilities as well as being the last royal family member and Shuri is dealing with such an unfortunate situation. Wright further stated that the probable return of Shuri in any future release by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is indicated in the comic books. She said that it is the comics that reveal a lot.
Letitia Wright Calls Black Panther Cast Family
Letitia Wright commented on the shared bonds among the Black Panther cast with whom her relations go back years as the film Black Panther was released in 2018. The 2018 film starred late actor Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Boseman had died in 2020 due to cancer. Letitia Wright told People that the castmates are a real family, and will remain so forever.
She said that no matter how scattered and busy the cast members are, they come back collectively and she sees all of them every 2 or 3 years. Letitia is presently starring and promoting her new film Surrounding. Surrounding is a period drama, portraying the socio-political situation in America after five years of the Civil War, where Letitia has disguised herself as a man. Surrounding will release on June 20.
