Around 36 million households are expected to get the Stimulus Check letter, which will help them determine if they are eligible to claim the recovery refund credit on their 2021 tax return.

The IRS claims that the third cycle of stimulus payments, which began in March 2021 and will terminate in December 2021, is the only one for which Letter 6475 is relevant.
