Carissa Moore is on the seventh heaven right now. She is ecstatic about her recently won Olympic Medal. The US athlete competed in the surfing event. She won the Gold Medal for the first time in her life. Winning the medal has also inducted her into a very prestigious list. Moore becomes the only woman athlete till now to win a Medal in Surfing. 

Carissa Moore Creates History, Becomes Only Female To Win Olympic Gold In Surfing 

It was a dream come true moment for the US athlete. She clinched the Gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in Surfing. This made her the first woman to achieve this feat. Surfing was not a part of the games earlier. It was included in the Olympics from this year. Italo Ferreira was the first to win the gold in the men’s event.  

Carissa Moore was always a fan of surfing. As a child, she always wanted to go surfing. She frequently took her surfing boards and set sail. She thanked her father for encouraging her so much. Her skill in surfing could be evident from a very young age. She became the World Champion in surfing she was only 18. She is currently 28years of age as she cemented her name in the history books. 

Moore could not hide her joy. She stated that she felt over the moon. She expressed her joy and termed the moment to be unbelievable. She stated her nervousness going into the finals. She was especially thankful to her family. Her family was not available in Tokyo but they cheered her from the Hawaiian islands. 

Carissa Moore stated her love for the oceans. She said the sea has transformed her life completely. She could not imagine passing a day without being in the water. Moore revealed that surfing made her feel stress-free. A beautiful rainbow was spotted at the closing moments of the event.
