Due to his illness, two gigs that were scheduled to happen in Philadelphia have been postponed. Bruce Springsteen might be stalking the pharmacies in Philadelphia. The dates of his gigs on Friday and Wednesday nights will have to be rescheduled, according to a message on his profile on Twitter. The concerts by Bruce Springsteen and the ESB scheduled for CBP around Philadelphia on the 16th and 18th of August have been canceled, according to the social account.

Before the remaining tour dates are impacted, Springsteen has had a little bit of time to recover. The band’s next scheduled performances are set for Aug. 24th and 26th in Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is a little over one week away.

The Tours Have Not Yet Been Affected By Bruce Springsteen’s Illness

The Philadelphia announcement marks the 3rd time in the same year that cancellation or postponement has been attributed to sickness, but it is not always apparent that Springsteen’s illness was the cause in each case. Three performances that were originally set for March in Columbus, Albany, and Uncasville, Connecticut, were postponed and rescheduled around September because of his illness with no additional explanation.

Both Bruce Springsteen as well Patti Scialfa, his wife, were both given COVID diagnoses in April, forcing them to postpone a performance even though there was a downtime in their tour schedule. After testing positive the day after the final concert on the original 2023 U.S. tour, both of them missed the AMH awards ceremony in NJ, which served as a fundraising event for the SA and CFAM at Monmouth University.

Instead, they recorded a video speech for acceptance in which they seemed to be having a good time despite his diagnosis. When the tour started fourteen days later, the pair was back in action without incident. A couple of this year’s tour dates have been completed without the participation of the ESB.
