Manchester United is weighing up the possibility of signing Anthony Martial’s replacement in the summer transfer window.

Martial has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Chelsea and Arsenal both said to be interested in signing him. But United have been quick to deny reports that they would make an £80 million profit on the Frenchman if he were to leave this summer.

Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing PSV Eindhoven’s midfielder Cody Gakpo.

The 21-year-old was named the Eredivisie’s player of the month for November and has been a regular starter for Marcel Brands’ side this season, making 15 appearances in all competitions so far.

Manchester United have been linked with Gakpo previously but according to ESPN FC, they are now considering a move after seeing him shine domestically.

Player Under The Radar Of Manchester United

Gakpo is a 21-year-old attacker who predominantly plays on the left, but can also be deployed centrally and as a winger. The Cote d’Ivoire international started his career at Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Bayer Leverkusen in 2017. He has made just four appearances for Leverkusen this season, however, and has not featured since September 2018.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been one of the Eredivisie’s standout performers this season, with scouts from the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool also keeping tabs.

Manchester United have made Brazilian winger Antony a transfer target after their scouts watched him play in action against Palmeiras last week.

Antony, who plays for Atletico Paranaense, was also a target for Manchester City but it is thought that the Premier League giants will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan for his signature.

The 21-year-old scored three goals during Brazil’s Copa America triumph against Peru on Sunday and could now be given an opportunity to shine on the world stage by whichever club decides to make a move for him during this summer’s transfer window.
