Eric Ten Hag’s men are looking unstoppable in the Carabao cup as they secured their place in the finals of the competition ever since 2018. The red devils defeated Nottingham Forrest with ease in their semifinals fixture in the competition.

Manchester United will be facing Newcastle, another team with a success story this season in the premier league, in the finals of the Carabao Cup.

After their convincing 2-0 win against the Forrest in their home match, Manchester United is now looking forward to achieve their first trophy of the season.

In the match, even after a nil-nil draw in the first half, Anthony Martial started the goals galore for Manchester United whom Fred followed to add the second.

Manchester United Under Ten Hag Is On A Mission:

The goal was to place in the top 4 and get to the UCL when Ten Hag came over with the coach in the summertime. Halfway into the Dutchman’s debut as the gaffer of the Red Devils this season, the supporters are headed in that direction and they’d have readily taken a title on top of all that.

With a victory over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, they are now in the UCL and can look ahead to a Wembley finale at the end of the month. They are currently 4th in the Top Flight, a point behind with 3rd Newcastle.

Although Newcastle, who are also enjoying a successful season, pose a barrier of United winning its first cup since 2017, doing so would offer boss Ten Hag something concrete to demonstrate the advancements his team has made since he took over. Regardless of how long he stays at Theatre of Dreams, his performance there will be measured by whether he can bring the Premier League back in the Manchester United trophy cabinet and UCL, but the EFL is a nice starting point for a team that is lacking in success.
