Marjorie Taylor Greene Lists Demands For Republican House Speaker Vote If GOP Has Majority Next Year

Marjorie Taylor Green, Georgia Representative has made public her list of moderates within the party that she would like to dump overboard before she agrees to back a new Republican speaker. She has categorically stated her refusal to support Kevin McCarthy (CA), the House Republican leader.

Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed her list of demands for voting for the succeeding Republican leader who earns the position of the Hose Speaker, assuming the Republicans gain control of the House in the 2022 election.

Topmost on her list of demands is to kick out John Katko (NY), a fellow member of the House Homeland Security Committee, and fellow GOP members who participated in the insurrection committee.

Marjorie Taylor Greene was among Trump’s most trusted lieutenants in Congress. She questioned McCarthy’s aptitude to be elected for the Speaker position in the House.

Speaking at Matt Gaetz’s podcast, Firebrand. Marjorie Taylor Greene said that McCarthy doesn’t have the total support necessary to be a speaker.

She said that even as conservatives like her and Paul Gosar are attacked by Democrats, moderates like Katko are not accountable.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Says She Has Her Demands To Cast Her Speaker Vote

The Republican told Gaetz said that she had her list of demands that has to be met before she decides on her Speaker’s vote. She has targeted Wyoming’s Liz Cheney and Illinois’ Adam Kinzinger, saying that they should be gone for being part of the inquiry into the attack on Capitol Hill.  She stressed that she retains little deference for the present Representatives and the present GOP leadership.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has been openly Islamophobic and anti-Semitic, and also supports and shares QAnon theories of conspiracy. McCarthy has supported her and others despite their excesses saying that they would be reinstated in their Committee position if the GOP retook the house in 22.

Marjorie Taylor Green has also introduced a bill seeking to honor the Kenosha Killer, Kyle Rittenhouse.
