Elizabeth Warren for President 2020? Megan Rapinoe certainly thinks so! The USWNT co-captain has lent her support to the Democratic candidate, whom she believes to be the perfect candidate for the job.

Megan Rapinoe mentioned in an Instagram post that Elizabeth Warren was not only the hero America needed, but also deserved. In the accompanying video, she talks about how the erstwhile lawmaker is ferocious, bold and knows exactly what to do with the USA.

“I’m proud to endorse @elizabethwarren today, for being bold, for being real, for listening to ALL of us, and for being prepared to navigate the unique challenges we face today as a country”

In return, Senator Warren praised Megan Rapinoe on being the role-model American teenagers, especially women, would look up to. She also congratulated the soccer star on her much deserved Sportswoman of the Year award.

“And well-deserved because you get out there and you both lead your team on the field but you also help to lead America off the field.”

Megan Rapinoe has been all over the news for quite some time now, for being extremely vocal about the injustices that Americans all face. In her acceptance speech for the Glamour 2019 Women of the Year, she called attention to NFL star Colin Kaepernick, and how the NFL blackballed him for kneeling during the national anthem in 2016.
