Millburn over Oratory – Boys ice hockey recap

Trailing 5-3 entering the next phase, Millburn scored three occasions, including an unassisted goal with three seconds left by Jack Schob, to place a 6-5 decision over Oratory at Codey Arena in West Orange.

Following Oratory (1-1-1) took a 5-3 lead on a goal by Jefferey Jarvis with 43 seconds from the left at the second interval, Casey Dutch started the comeback for Millburn (2-1-2) using a goal early in the third, off an assist by Matt Riskin.

Ben Hayum subsequently took a feed by Ryan Potechin (2 goals, 1 assist) and tied the score with 6:19 left to perform to install Schob’s heroics.

Fyodor Brylin also scored for Millburn, while Riskin had two assists. Oratory outshot Millburn 25-19. Millburn goalie Eli Nadell listed 20 saves, Darren Keaveney needed 13 to get Oratory.

Jarvis scored twice using a help to lead Oratory.
