Top Chef Will Have A New Host

Padma Lakshmi is proud of her replacement as host of Bravo’s enduringly popular cooking competition program “Top Chef.”

After Lakshmi resigned from the position earlier this year, the Season 10 champion Kristen Kish was formally introduced as the new host of the show on Tuesday through the show’s Twitter account.

Kish has previously served as a guest judge for “Top Chef.” But she will be hosting the competition for the first time in Season 21 later this year.

“I’m extremely proud of your accomplishments @KristenLKish and am on the moon that you’ll have to take over for me on @BravoTopChef!” Lakshmi wrote on Twitter her congratulations to Kish.

I’ll be pulling for you and our entire team next season, she continued, Congratulations!”

Kish shared the news on social media as well, describing it as a “homecoming and a full-circle moment” for her in a video testimonial.

Kish stated, “I am most excited to get to know an incredible group of chefs” and “to be reunited with a number of friends that are both on and off camera in the production,” and he continued, “I am at a loss for words still, just a little bit, but I promise I’ll find those, come Season 21.”

After 17 years and 19 seasons on Top Chef, Lakshmi revealed last month on Instagram that she would be quitting the program. After Katie Lee Biegel exited the program, she began her employment there.

The presenter and judge then said on Instagram, “After much soul searching, I have taken the painful choice to leave Top Chef.
