Nick Cordero‘s wife has given updates for fans on his latest condition.

Cordero had his right leg excised last the weekend due to COVID-19 complications.

On Thursday, Cordero’s wife, Amanda Kloots shared on Instagram Cordero’s updates about his condition.

“Right now, we’re in a bit of a waiting game,” stated Kloots Instagram. “The doctors said that there was nothing on the MRI that would show that he won’t wake up, which is amazing news.”

While Kloots stated she’s “so happy” to know that news, Cordero’s fight against coronavirus is very hard.

“However, he hasn’t woken up and it’s been 12 days out of sedation, today’s the 12th day,” she clarified. “The doctors do think that he should have woken up by now.”

Kloots addressed that Cordero was “heavily sedated” for about 2 weeks, which could be adding to his present state.

“We are just, you know, hoping and praying every day that Nick wakes up and putting that energy and that positivity out there because I do believe he will,” Kloots added. “He’s on ‘Nick time’ and when he wakes up, we will all be here to celebrate it.”

Long story short, Cordero’s doctors are planning to wean Nick’s off of his ventilator, his medicine, and other equipment that was used for his treatment, Kloots said.

“He’s completely off blood pressure medicine, which is great, and they are also trying to reduce the dialysis assistance, which is great,” she stated. “So as we are waiting for him to wake up, while he is still sleeping, they are slowly weaning his body off of assistance, which is just great, great news. Small wins.”

Cordero entered ICU a month ago and was tested negative for COVID-19 a few times. However, Kloots stated that the doctors are persuaded that is the origin of his issues.
