This past Sunday’s 3-2 victory for the Blaugrana against Levante at Estadi Ciutat de Valencia was typical of Barcelona‘s trips to play Levante, as the game was decided in stoppage time by a header from Luuk.

Even though they let up three penalties, the visitors still scratched to take home three points from the match.

Levante was the superior team in the beginning, and they should have scored a goal because of their performance. They came close was when Morales, after a mad dash, had his shot blocked by Garcia.

After Dani Alves fouled Son in the first half, Morales scored a penalty kick in the second to give his team the lead.

Ter Stegen’s Save Lifted  Barcelona Back To Life

The home fans went berserk, and they became louder when their team, Levante, was awarded another penalty shortly afterward for a handball by Eric Garcia. This time, though, it was Marti who attempted the shot, and ter Stegen was there to make the save.

As a result of Ter Stegen’s save, Barcelona went on the attack and tied the game when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored off a cross from Ousmane Dembele.

After stunning Levante with a shot into the far corner last weekend, Pedri did it again this week to put his team up 2-1.

However, Barcelona wasn’t through throwing away penalties just yet. Substitute Clement Lenglet conceded a penalty for a rough tackle on Dani Gomez in the game’s last 10 minutes, and Gonzalo Melero became Levante’s third different penalty taker of the evening to convert the ensuing penalty.

Both teams were determined to win the game and didn’t want to settle for a tie in the dying seconds. De Jong scored the game-winning goal for Barcelona from a Jordi Alba pass in the 92nd minute to bring the score to 3-2.
