Previous Head coach Rick Carlisle has been replaced by Jason Kidd. Kidd had a notable contribution in the team’s only championship run in 2011.

WNBA To See Kristi Toliver In A New Role

The Mavericks has reportedly signed WNBA star athlete Kristi Toliver. She is expected to assist Jason Kidd as the assistant coach. The news has been published by ESPN. Toliver currently has her contract with the Los Angeles Sparks.

A big reason for the Mavericks to consider Toliver as their coach is her CV. She has had previous coaching experience. She enjoyed a successful stint with the Washington Wizards. Her contract was in the news for a long period. The old rules put a restriction on the maximum amount of money that can be given to a player.

An amendment was made which was named the “Toliver Provision”. This allowed the teams to pay the required amount to their coaches and support staff.

WNBA athlete Kristi will surely look to take her current team to glory. They have won back-to-back games since the break for the Olympics. Toliver is trying hard to maintain their streak of appearances postseason for the ninth time. Failure of the Sparks to go past the postseason will mean Toliver will join the Mavericks early. The Sparks currently is placed at the tenth position.
