3 inmates in Georgia are praised for saving a deputy’s life

On Tuesday, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office shared a post on their Facebook page thanking three prison inmates for saving a deputy from dying.

They stated that the inmates showed determination, kindness, and courage.

In an incredible series of events, the deputy chief was saved from possibly dying in his work chair. It has been reported that the inmates saw the deputy’s behavior alter when he came in to do the routine security checks.

As soon as the deputy went to his chair to sit, he fell unconscious and fell on the concrete prison floor. Furthermore, his head received deep injuries and split open.

Upon witnessing the incident, the three inmates started banging on their doors and calling for help. Soon enough, everyone in the prison joined in. The noise woke the deputy up who thought some prisoner was in danger. However, he fell unconscious again. At this point, the inmates came out to help him.

The office representatives said that the officer is doing well and recovering at the moment.

The statement said, “Many people have strong opinions about law enforcement officers and criminals, but this incident clearly illustrates the potential goodness found in both.”
