Rafael Nadal triumphed against Casper Ruud in the French Open men’s final.

Rafael Nadal won his record-breaking 14th match in Paris, bringing his total number of Grand Slam titles to 22.

Rafael Nadal Eases To Win The Title

Rafael Nadal breezed over Ruud in Paris, winning 6-3, 6-3, 6-0. Nadal appeared relaxed throughout the match, which lasted barely 2 hours and 18 minutes.

After a rough start to the second set, Nadal regained his footing and dominated the rest of the game.

Nadal, at age 36 and with a damaged left foot, has already won two Slams this current season after also winning the Australian Open in January.

Nadal said after the game, “I never dreamed I would be here at 36, competing, playing on an important court of my career. It means a lot to me to be able to do one farewell performance in this space. Please allow me this little interlude to offer my sincere appreciation to everyone present. There’s no telling what’s going to happen, but I’m going to keep going as far as I possibly can.

For two games, Ruud was flawless, allowing him to break Nadal. Nadal, however, committed several errors. But Ruud could not keep it up; he lacked the necessary intensity, and Nadal was all over him the moment he slipped even a little.
