The women’s singles final at the French Open has already been decided to take place between CoCo Gauff and Iga Swiatek on Saturday. Although Swiatek has a consecutive 34-match win, Gauff is aiming at picking up her first-ever Grand Slam. On the other side, Rafael Nadal has once again entered the finals of the French Open.

The finals for men’s single had also been decided on Thursday. It will be played between Rafael Nadal and Casper Rudd. Nadal has clinched his position in the finals after playing against Alexander Zverev

Another Grand Slam Final For Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal is a common player in Grand Slams for several years now. However, his semi-final match against Zverev was quite difficult for Nadal as the former was a tough match. Nadal has won the first set by 7-6 that was a close call.

In the second set, Zverev incurred a tragic injury and fell down in agony. He had to be taken out of the court in a wheelchair due to pain in his ankle. This led to the suspension of the match. After Zverev was examined, he was ruled out.

Injuries And Pain

This premature ending to a stunning match resulted in an automatic win for Rafael Nadal. He was pushed up into the finals.

Zverev returned to the court on crutches and received a standing ovation from the spectators. Zverev was also hugged and consoled by Nadal who admitted that seeing colleagues in pain is never an easy emotion.

This is Rafael Nadal’s 14th final match at the French Open tournament. Although it is Rudd’s first Slam final, he will be a tough competitor for Nadal when they fight for the trophy on Sunday. It will be a match to watch!
