Republican Party of New Mexico Claims Headquarters Was Targeted in Intentional Arson Incident

The Republican Party of New Mexico announced that its Albuquerque headquarters was the victim of what it termed a “deliberate arson attack” on Sunday.

According to a statement from the party, the entrance to its headquarters was severely damaged early Sunday morning. They also reported that the phrase “ICE=KKK” had been spray-painted on the premises, labeling the incident as a “horrific assault fueled by hatred and intolerance.”

Amy Barela, chairwoman of the Republican Party of New Mexico, stated that nobody was injured during the incident. She mentioned that her team is collaborating closely with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, along with local law enforcement and federal agencies.

“We will not let New Mexico’s flawed criminal justice system undermine the seriousness of this attack,” Barela emphasized. “The Republican Party of New Mexico will not be silenced. We will rise from this incident stronger, more united, and more committed to advocating for the people of New Mexico and the future of our nation.”

The investigation is being conducted by the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, in coordination with the Albuquerque police department.
