Researchers Identify Specific Cells In Body Likely Targeted By Covid-19 Virus

Medical Expert Researchers from MIT and Harvard conducted a study that suggests that specific cells in the respiratory tracts, lungs, and intestines are more susceptible to the novel coronavirus.

The study became possible after testing RNA of different types of cells which suggested the presence of two proteins that aid the virus to enter the human body. With their huge repository of information, the MIT team announced that they were ready to scoop out relevant information that will be of paramount importance to the treatment procedure in the future.

Researchers say they hope that this new piece of information will accelerate the development of new drugs or improve the existing drugs currently used for coronavirus treatments.
