All the fans of the series, The Handmaid’s Tale, are well aware of the fact that the series is all about the endless stories of the torture, death, and pain of women. However, there is good news for them. Things are to get much better in the tenth episode of the series that streams on the channel, Hulu. The story of the series is getting ready for a future that will be based on something beyond Gilead’s horrors.

The Handmaid’s Tale: Another Depressing Character

The ending of the third season of The Handmaid’s Tale showed the misfortune of June who is played by Elizabeth Moss, the actor and producer from America. June fails in her effort to flee the state, yet again. She is yet again unsuccessful in escaping to Canada.

The opening of The Handmaid’s Tale’s new season takes place with June convalescing into the countryside of the state of Gilead. Here, June and all of her friends are known as “Marthas.” They pose as women belonging to a low social status. As per the revolution, it is slowing down and regathering strength in order to fight the fundamentalist regime of Gilead.

After witnessing this scene, the viewers might get the idea that June and her colleagues will now get a chance to have a moment of peace. But this is not the case. A few opening episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale focuses on a new character. That is a woman named Mrs. Keyes who is 14 years old. She is someone who got married to an aged commander of the farm by force. Hers is no less than any horror movie. She gets raped both by her husband and his associates. The story of this new character is a break from the mainstream plot of the Hulu series.
