US records lowest coronavirus-related deaths in 2 weeks

The United States has recorded over 42,364 novel coronavirus related fatalities to date. However, the numbers have started to slow down. 

After a sharp spike in positive cases and death tolls in the past weeks, today’s data reflect a little more hope with an average of 600 fewer deaths.

This signals a much-needed relief sign as several states prepare to open up their economies and get back to business. Governors of Georgia and South Carolina have decided to open up some non-essential services, given that they follow social distancing rules.

However, cautionary tales run wild with many claiming that the U.S is not yet ready to reopen as widespread testing still remains a task to be fulfilled.
