In a recent interview, Kaitlyn Bristowe discussed her engagement to Shawn Booth on the season 11 finale of The Bachelorette. She revealed that she felt like he took benefit of her popularity up until their breakup in 2018.
“We both just weren’t seeing it heading anywhere,” she stated on her fiancé Jason Tartick’s show Trading Secrets on April 3, “but it got like he continued to hang on until his gym opened, and that’s where I felt used.”
Kaitlyn Bristowe, 37, went on to say that Shawn treated her “professionally.” The 35-year-old established Boothcamp Gym in Nashville in the summer of 2018 and had his then-fiancée Kaitlyn on hand to help celebrate the occasion.
Kaitlyn Bristowe Is Disappointed

“Congratulations on Booth Camp Gym’s first day of operation!!” she tweeted. “It’s going to do fantastically well, and I’m so proud of you @Shawn_Booth (even if I’m afraid I won’t see you for the next ten years).” Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn confirmed their breakup in November 2018 after 3 years together. Sources informed E! News at the time that the two were spending a lot of time apart before splitting up.
Following their first split announcement, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn both came out independently about their romantic lives and separation. On the health-and-fitness podcast Austin AF in November 2021, the trainer stated that the relationship after his 2015 engagement on The Bachelorette did not seem true to him, adding that both he and Kaitlyn “had been exceptionally good at enjoying fun and convincing the world that we had fun.”
