Amy Schumer stated that she has changed the name of her 11-month-old child after knowing the name had a bad homonym.

Saying on her audio, “Amy Schumer Presents 3 Girls 1 Keith,” the actor stated that she and her husband Chris Fischer had named their son Gene Attel Fischer, in honor of David Attell.

“So do you guys know that Gene, our baby’s name is officially changed? It’s now Gene David Fischer,” Schumer stated.

“It was Gene Attell Fischer, but we realized that we, by accident, named our son ‘genital,'” she confessed.

The name’s blunt concept was first referred to by the actor Claudia O’Doherty (“Love”), she informed to Schumer how the name has another meaning. While she was a guest on her podcast, O’Doherty clarified how it had actually been her mother who paid attention to it.

“My mom was like, ‘Amy’s called her son ‘genital.’ And I was like, ‘What are you talking about?'” she revealed.

Schumer’s child’s new name is, happily, just as significant as the previous one (in the right way), complimenting the “Trainwreck” star’s father, Gordon David Schumer.
