Senator Barrasso: ‘Schumer And Pelosi’ Have ‘Slowed Down’ Helping America To Get Their Wishlist Met

Senator John Barrasso told Maria Bartiromo, the host of Fox News on Sunday that Nancy Pelosi, the House speaker of Democratic leaders and Charles Schumer, the minority leader of the Senate have “slowed down” the central government’s potential to fetch financial help for Americans during this pandemic.

The statement came after Bartiromo enquired about PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) which exhausted all its funds last week as the Democrats rejected to revive it.

Barrasso commented that small businesses need to be looked after. He further said that he saw people still trying to get the aid. Expressing satisfaction, he said that 15 million Americans were benefited by the scheme which has spent $350 billion so far.

Barrasso added that on a vote Friday, the money was blocked by Democrats.  “The money in that program is really paychecks for hardworking Americans, people who work for small businesses, which is over half of all Americans,” he said.

Barrasso remarked that the deal Pelosi, Schumer, and Mnuchin are working on will be scrutinized by all Republicans as previously,  Pelosi and Schumer had attempted to slow down the CARES act in order to include their wish list.

A medical doctor, Barrasso further said the US can think of reopening the economy but with proper scientific tracking measures of COVID-19 cases.
