Several states in the US are distributing $600 payments to specific food and agricultural workers under the Food and Farm Worker Relief Grant Program. Eligibility: Frontline agricultural, shopkeepers, and, meatpacking who work between 27th January 2020, and 11th April 2023, when the pandemic emergency proclamation in the US expires, are eligible for the FFWR $600 payments.

Conditions for applying: Employees in farms, meatpacking plants, and food processing facilities must show proper documentation of their job. To claim reimbursements, employees must also show proper identification and documentation of their employment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon approval, qualified employees will get their $600 reward. The director of the nonprofit farmworker program is Daniel Ramirez.

After these two years, he is grateful that some support is now available to all farm laborers, regardless of their legal status.
