Netflix statistics revealed that its users have expended an unbelievable quantity of time watching The Witcher. Speculations of whether it is Netflix’s GoT have been put to rest. The Witcher is based on a fantasy series by Andrzej Sapkowski. Sapkowski is a Polish author with a book franchise also named The Witcher. 

The Witcher, featuring Henry Cavill, dropped the second season on Netflix. It quickly became Netflix’s number one show being streamed. The release of the second season has pushed viewers to watch and rewatch the first season too. 

The Witcher’s Second Season Is A Hit

Netflix released data for Dec 13 to 19. It revealed that, in just seven days, the viewers streamed 142 mil hours. The surge in views was because the second season was released on Dec 17. Season 1 has been streamed for 59 mil hours. 

The plot for the second season is as interesting as the first one. Geralt has to bring the Princess to his youth home. He is to protect her from elves, humans, demons, and kings. Geralt, additionally, has to protect her from the bizarre power that resides within her. 

Rotten Tomatoes has given the series a 93%

The program recorded grandiose sequences in nations ranging from Poland to Hungary and even Spain for season one. COVID-19 restrictions did not allow the filming crew to travel outside the UK. The picturesque view in The Witcher S2 is due to it being filmed in over 15 different locations in the United Kingdom.
