It’s just been three months since Lionel Messi has finally won the World Cup with his national side in Qatar this previous year. However, the home country of the PSG star are still trying to pay their tributes to Messi whenever the player comes back to home.

It was one of those days where the fans of the Albiceleste mobbed the Argentine star to pay their tributes and Lionel Messi was rescued by the Argentine police from the place. The thirty-five year old Argentine superstar is now back with his national side for a friendly in the international break. The player will go against Panama with his national side.

Messi has also won the Golden Ball award as the best player of the tournament leaving behind the likes of Mbappe who had a hattrick in the World Cup final and was crucial in France’s World Cup campaign.

The forward was in training with his international side today before he went to a local restaurant for dinner and this is where the madness began. Once Messi went inside the restaurant, many fans gathered outside of the restaurant to catch a glimpse of the player. They were chanting his name outside.

The crowd went completely mad as they kept calling his name and singing Muchachos that became the unofficial anthem for the Argentine team during their campaign. As per newspaper reports, Messi could not leave the restaurant until 1:45 a.m. as the police finally arrived then and calmed the crowd around the crowned.

Members in the crowd were celebrating by hugging each other after they saw the Argentina captain coming out of the restaurant and were at touching distance from them.
