Samsung Galaxy S8 vs. Samsung Galaxy S9 vs. Samsung Galaxy S10

The Samsung Galaxy S series is always going through new changes and getting amazing updates. However, most of the recent Galaxy S series handsets are really powerful and can be used for long. So, is it necessary to go for an update? Well, it all depends on certain parameters:

Display of Samsung Galaxy S series – S8, S9, S10, and their Plus versions

Do you want to go for a large display? If that’s your parameter, then you better go for an upgrade. While the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus may have premiered the Samsung Infinity Display, it has a 5.8 and 6.2-inch display. They came with an 18:5:9 aspect ratio. It also had a curved screen. The S9 and S9 Plus displays are mostly the same. The Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus amp it all up by including a 6.1-inch display and an amazing 6.4-inch display with the modern 19:9 aspect ratio. It is also going to feature 3040 x 1440 QHD+ resolution which is quite an improvement over the 2960 x 1440 of the S8 and S9 series.

Design

Samsung is known for its designs. The Samsung Galaxy S10, like the S9, has curved bezels, USB Type-C ports, and even the headphone jack. But unlike the previous handsets, S10 comes with the in-display fingerprint scanner which is an amazing update.

Storage

If you are someone who is eager to have a lot of things on your mobile and storage is a necessity, then you should love the Samsung Galaxy S10. If you are with the S8 or S9, you have to keep up with the meager 64 GB storage. S10 comes with 128/512GB storage, while the S10 Plus offers both as well as an incredible 1TB storage as well.

Battery

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S9 had 3000 mAh batteries with the Plus versions coming out with a 3500 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy S10 comes with a 3400 mAh battery and the Plus version comes out with a heftier battery – a 4100 mAh. You may not have to upgrade just for the battery, but if your phone is old and if the charge drains within a day, then a new phone should be something you need. On top of everything, S10 will also have reverse wireless charging.

Camera

The S8 and S8 Plus arrive with a single 12MP camera. The S9 Plus came with a dual camera – a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. The S10 and S10 Plus both arrive to shock you with a triple camera set-up – a 12MP telephoto lens, a 12MP wide lens, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens. They will both have a selfie camera of 10MP. The S10 Plus will be coming with another 8MP camera too.

Performance

The performance will be getting an upgrade as well. The S8 came with an octa-core processor with a 4GB RAM. The S9 Plus came with 6GB RAM. The S10 and S10 Plus comes with an 8GB RAM with the S10 Plus 1TB version pushing it to 12GB.

So, if you are looking for a superior phone, then you should upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S10 or S10 Plus.
