Sony’s long-awaited A7S III is a videographer’s dream

Sony’s A7S III promises to be the next big thing in the world of photography, bringing with itself a full-frame and several ‘world’s first’ features. This beast contains a 12.1-megapixel Exmor R sensor with huge pixels, a Bionz XR chip, and a 40-409,600 extended ISO range.

While the A7S III wouldn’t allow you the luxury of shooting in 8K like Canon, it is going to give you 4K specs pretty great. With an ability to shoot Full HD at 240 FPS, and 4K at 120 FPS, this is one for the future. And while the rolling shutter was a problem with the A7S II, the A7S III has double the readout speed for three times less rolling shutter. The demo featured barely made the sound.

The Sony A7S III is the world’s first camera to have an EVF of 9.44-million dot. With a magnification of 0.90x, a 25mm high eye-point, and a field of view of 41 degrees, this is perfect for even those who prefer an optical viewfinder.

The Sony A7S series contains phase-detect autofocus, which too has been perfected by the company. Also, you get real-time auto-focus for both stills and video.
