The New England Patriots will possibly no longer have N’Keal Harry in their squad, as the player’s agent has submitted a transfer request. On Tuesday, Jamal Tooson, the player’s agent revealed the formal trade request submitted by Harry.

N’Keal Harry Will Look For A Fresh Start

N’Keal Harry was once a first-round selection. However, his agent revealed that Harry had been talking with the Patriots for the previous several months. Reportedly, Harry had been displeased with the Patriot’s lack to secure the targets he wanted over the previous two seasons. As such, he now wants to leave Foxborough and join a team that will make their offense’s central figure.

While the trade request may have been recent, a rift between the two sides was inevitable. It could have happened by the training camp’s end earlier this year. In the short time with the Patriots, N’Keal Harry had a difficult time fitting into the offense of the team.

Harry N’Keal had played 21 games in the regular season. During that, he only has 45 receptions to his name, covering 414 yards and scoring only 4 touchdowns. This is not at all what the Patriots had expected when they had picked him as their 32nd overall during the NFL Draft of 2019. However, that is no reason for other clubs on missing out on his potential.

Among them, the Arizona Cardinals had been heavily connected in 2019, as he graduated from Arizona State. There were multiple meetings between the two. Harry was confident about getting into Arizona if he was left unpicked by the 33rd selection. However, the Cardinals’ unit of wide receivers has had several recruits since then, A. J. Green and DeAndre Hopkins are two big names. It might not be the team Harry would want for the long term, but for a short stay it could work out.
