Massive Water Outage In Jersey City After 36-inch Main Is Broken

Quite a bit of Jersey City is without water Tuesday evening after a 36-inch mains was broken close to the Charlotte Circle.

Suez Water said via social media at 3:50 p.m. that the contractual worker in Kearny was leading non-utility work on Route 7 and hit the central conduit that takes care of Jersey City.

“SUEZ crews are en route to isolate break and make emergency repairs,” the consultative stated.

The water organization didn’t give a timetable to when fixes would be finished.
